Misha Poetry
Ever since the "Misha writes poetry" post here, I have been on a rampage to find it. Well, I didn't find the poems, but I found where he has been published.

This year's current edition of the Columbia Poetry Review #21 - link here! It is only the Table of Contents with Misha’s name and two titles.

I did run over to my local B&N to see if they had it, they didn’t. I kinda knew they wouldn’t. I think this may be one of those things where you have to find it at a college. However you can buy it here! Does anyone go to college, might find it and scan it??

I'll check my library and get back to you, for sure. <3

Heh. I hope you find it. XD

Me too.
I have access to not only my small JC's library but also the University near me.
It's bound to be there somewhere.
I just hate the catacombs at the University. It's like the ones from Pulse, where the lights only turn on when someone goes down an aisle, and they shut off a little later.
Spoooooky.

Awww. That sounds freaky.

But heh, it's for a good cause. ;)

A very good cause.
I'll just imagine Castiel following me, "perched on my shoulder" or something. ;)
Fanneydangerous_47 on October 6th, 2008 08:20 am (UTC)
Haha. XD

Yeah, who wouldn't want him perched on ones shoulder. Well, a mini-him because the full size would be heavy. lmao.
stolenhalo7stolenhalo7 on October 6th, 2008 08:21 am (UTC)
LOLOL
No kidding.
Maybe I'll just have him follow me around or something.
Fanneydangerous_47 on October 6th, 2008 08:28 am (UTC)
Think that'd be better. ;)

I hope you do! :)

Well, the university and the JC I go to do not have it.
BUT.
I'm not giving up.
My mom and I are going to keep looking until we find it.
And if it means me usuing some of my paycheck to buy it then so be it.

You tried! We all appreciate that. One of us will track it down eventually. :)
stolenhalo7stolenhalo7 on October 9th, 2008 01:29 am (UTC)
I think I might just order it from the site.
My boss might have it, but if he doesn't that's what I'm doing.

I'll check my library as well. Hope it gets found by someone since I am really curious as to what kind of poetry he wrote.

I totally curious too. I hope someone finds it, although I'll probably wind up buying it. LOL
stolenhalo7: GAH I DIDN'T DO IT!stolenhalo7 on October 10th, 2008 04:57 pm (UTC)
I'm going to buy it, I've decided.
No library around here has it, so I think my best bet is to just order it.
Lena: Castiel/Deanlena3 on October 11th, 2008 06:33 am (UTC)
Yeah, I've ordered it too. I want it. *snickers* But sadly I don't have a working scanner right now. Eventually, we'll work this out!! :D
stolenhalo7stolenhalo7 on October 11th, 2008 10:28 pm (UTC)
I do, and I'm going to order it and I'll scan it in for everyone.
*MAJOR YAYS*
I can't order all this glee and NOT share it, ya know?

Awe. <3
I'm sure you all would do the same.

Just a suggestion: They had the book at Hastings. It's in the Art & Literature section of the magazines. It's $10 which is steep for me as a college student who's still buying the first and third seasons of Supernatural.

If anyone's read it, do you have a favorite? I liked the first one. I'm not a huge poetry fan so I won't dissect it, but it does seem like at least "Old Bones" was written when he was young.

Misha Collins' Poems
Old Bone's
______________

This morning
The smell of bacon
Brought me downstairs
But before i reached
The open kitchen door
A voice stopped me
My mother telling
Her old arthiritic dog
"I know sweetness
you've been carrying those bones for a long time"
I leaned unseen
On the mildewed
Window sill
Watching her
Sip coffee
Fry bacon
Her old dog
Pressing at her knee.

Baby Pant's
_______________

This morning i drive across town for a friend
To justin's house on a saturday at 9
His wife yell's from under wet hair
Belt unbuckled
"Justin"
He's down in the office
And i sit - collapse on the new couch
Custom made, brown and squarer than a couch should be
Justin's baby produces baby pant's for my inspection
I'm impressed,he can find his own pant's now
Can't put them on,but know's they go
On his baby leg's
And there i am
With my friend's family
On a weekend morning
The mother hold's an envelope
In her teeth
Hoists and struggles
To pant her boy
I'm slouching and hot in my vest
My blue,down vest
Thinking today was colder than it is
Forgetting that fall in california
Is like summer back home
Plastic diapers pack the thighs of tiny corduroy's
The smell of cheerios bloated and floating in milk

What have i missed?
